How much do cakes cost? - All of my cakes are hand crafted and designed to suit each individual couple so prices are bespoke to the client. However most couples spend between £700-£900 for a fondant cake and slightly less for semi naked style cakes. I recommend getting in touch with me to talk over your ideas and I can advise a little better.

Where do you deliver to? - I happily deliver wedding cakes throughout Staffordshire, Manchester, Cheshire, Shropshire, Birmingham, Derbyshire and Nottingham. I do offer deliveries further away but request that the cakes minimum order value is £900 not including delivery and set up. All deliveries are charged separately on your order and calculated once I know your venue.

How long before the event should we book our cake/consultation? - I only take a limited number of wedding cakes per week and therefore get booked up quickly, I suggest contacting me as soon as you’ve booked your venue. Saving your date with a deposit payment of £150 is the most important thing, we can then start to go over design ideas to make sure we bring your perfect cake to life. Get in touch via the ‘contact me’ section and we can go from there. Please check your spam emails for my reply!

Do you offer sample boxes and what flavours can we have? -     Receiving a wedding cake tasting box in the post has to be one of the best bits about wedding planning, and one that your partner will be happy to get involved in. My boxes are posted out a few times a year and and can be purchased via my shop page. Once your date is secured with a £150 fee you’ll receive a discount code to use towards your tasting box. Each box contains 8 slices of cake, 4 of which are my most popular flavours, the remaining 4 can be chosen by you from my flavour options. You can only use the discount code once, however you are more than welcome to have multiple tasting boxes, they’re a lovely gift too.

If you’d like to try my cakes before booking me you can order a random cake box from my shop page.

Do you offer cakes for people with allergies? - The short answer is No, but I’m very happy to accommodate special dietary requirements such as those preferring a vegan lifestyle or avoiding gluten, however as my cakes are made in our home studio and in an environment that is not allergen free and some cross-contamination may occur I cannot provide cakes for people with allergies where a ‘May contain’ is not suitable. I suggest dropping me an email to discuss this. Please note that I only make free from gluten ingredient cakes that have a minimum order value of £700, but again I stress I cannot guarantee that it’s suitable for those with allergies. I highly recommend booking a specialist baker.

Can I have fresh flowers on my cake? Yes that’s not a problem, I will ask your florist or stylist to fill out a risk assessment on the product they supply but I can email this link over closer to your wedding. I highly recommend sugar or wafer flowers as they are food safe and won’t wilt once on the cake though, or discussing designs without floral elements. After our consultation I’ll give you a guide on the size and amount of flowers required, you can then order these directly with your florist at your meeting with them, I would also liaise with them before the wedding. Flowers need to be none toxic and safe to go on cakes, ideally organic too, so please check with your florist about this as proof will be required. The cost for fresh flowers will be paid to and quoted by your florist unless otherwise agreed by me. Please bear in mind that I often have to attached the fresh flowers hours before the cake cutting and wilting may occur, therefore I suggest moving your cake cutting to the wedding breakfast rather than when evening guests arrive. Pressed edible flowers can be sourced by me. I will always speak with your florist the week before the wedding to arrange the final details.

Can I have dummy cakes and are these cheaper? Yes you can have dummy tiers to add interest to your design or to offer a more stable cake when a very large design is required. Often the cake portions are then served directly from the kitchen with a cutting cake. Dummy tiers aren’t cheaper unfortunately as often the actual dummy price is very similar to the cake ingredients that would be used, and the same amount of time is taken to decorate the cake. There is an environmental impact to consider also as dummy tiers are made from polystyrene and this is one reason why I regularly donate to More Trees, who plant tree in countries all over the world and help off set our carbon footprint. Other options for dummy tiers include acrylic tiers, metal spacers and other props. Spacers can either be purchased to be kept or hired from me if I have the size required in stock. We can discuss options during our design consultation.

If you have any other questions please get in touch and I’d be happy to help.
